It is important for me to acknowledge that the Council has double standards in requiring the South Beach Markets to be put out for a public Expression of Interest without applying the same standard to the Fremantle Markets.
It is my view that both markets ought to go to public tender for transparency reasons and to ensure that the ratepayers are getting value for any subsidies.
